Prior to starting the firm, Elizabeth Crotty and Jeremy Saland served together for several years as Assistant District Attorneys under Robert Morgenthau in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. After leaving the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and prior to starting Crotty Saland, LLP, Ms. Crotty and Mr. Saland worked in two boutique New York law firms handling complex civil litigation and criminal defense respectively.
Unlike many other law firms, Crotty Saland, LLP, is not a multi specialty civil practice that merely handles some criminal cases while juggling your criminal matter with another client’s landlord-tenant dispute or estate planning issues. Although we aggressively advocate for our clients in complex civil litigation matters, we utilize our training and experience to defend your criminal case as the main emphasis of our practice. In doing so, we serve clients throughout New York City in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island. Moreover, we represent clients in the surrounding suburbs of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Nassau and Suffolk counties. The Manhattan office is easily accessible by public transportation and is walking distance from the state and federal courts. Additionally, we are able to meet with and accommodate clients in Westchester County.
